BAKING | Choc chip cookies.

10:00

Two baking posts in the space of 7 days. Oops. Though in my defence, last weeks baking post wasn't actually for me.

Anyway, this recipe for chocolate chip cookies is too good to not share!

Now, you eagle-eyed lot may take one glance at either picture and think 'hey, those aren't white chocolate chunks in the cookies'. You're right! This is one of those recipes I've adapted to suit.

Basically, 115g butter, 200g caster sugar, 1 egg, 2 teaspoons vanilla essence, 1/2 teaspoon each of baking soda and baking powder, 240g flour and chocolate drops. The original recipe is 225g white chocolate drops, which is amazing, but I just poured in some dark chocolate drops. Didn't even measure a quantity.

Mix everything together in a bowl step by step (first butter and sugar, then vanilla/eggs and lastly dry ingredients/chocolate). Pop them in the oven until they're golden brown around the edges. The recipe makes ~24 good sized cookies.

If you can, eat them 10 minutes after they're out the oven - the cookie will still be soft and the chocolate will still be all yummy and melty.

xx
