If I could steal on persons wardrobe, I wouldn't even need to consider it. I've had an obsession with Demi Lovato's style choice for as long as I can remember.  She has the most amazing style sense - it's street/punk style (matching her ever changing hair colours) yet also sweet and girly when it needs to be.

Staples in Demi's wardrobe are her:

1)  Black pants

Whenever Demi is wearing a jacket/shirt/pants combination, 99% of the time, Demi is wearing black pants.  She favours either leather pants or 'disco pants'.  They're usually teamed with a band shirt or a sheer top, with a jacket or blazer on top.

Find some leather pants to match Demi here for US$30, or if you want to stretch your budget, get some here for US$300. If you're from the UK, Topshop has leather leggings and leather look leggings. (I'll link some as soon as I can - Topshop isn't working on my Laptop at the moment :( )  Disco pants are available from American Apparel for US$85, or you can get some from DaisyStreet.co.uk for only £9.99 - a price I would be more happier to pay.  Asos also has disco pants.

2) Leather jacket

No matter what the outfit or the occasion, a leather jacket will always look good. Both the outfits above, Demi has teamed her jacket with skater skirts and black tops, but Demi has previously matched her jacket with bright dresses for a more formal outfit dressed down and band t-shirts and black pants for a casual outfit. Demi mixes up her look with both plain leather jackets and studded jackets. 

Topshop has a faux leather jacket for £55, and Asos has a large selection of leather jackets, depending on which style you would prefer.

3) Band t-shirts

Demi frequently wears shirts with patterns underneath a jacket and teamed with black pants - and the shirts most often have names and images of different bands/albums.  Demi pairs them with longer necklaces and mixes up her hair- sometimes down, with a hat, or tied up.

You can, of course, get band shirts at your favourite concert, or you can wear printed shirts - with a wide range of images, from shops such as Forever 21, Asos, and Primark.

4) Heels

Demi's go to shoes are platform black shoes. Yves Saint Laurent, Louboutins and Chloe Green shoes are all frequently worn, matched with black pants or skirts/dresses. 

However, you don't need to break the budget to recreate the look - black platform shoes are available from most places where you buy heels - like Topshop, forever21 and Primark.

Demi also favours combat boots/ Doc Martins. 

5) Dresses

 As much as Demi wears pants and a shirt, she also wears a lot of dresses. She has found the style of dresses that suit her best - skater style, with a shorter-than-knee length. She pairs them with a blazer, leather jacket or oversized shirt, and keeps her hair different every time. Demi also frequently teams long necklaces with them. 

It's not hard finding any dresses in the same style as this - just walk into any store and you will find some.
