Easter Treats!
13:00My family and I celebrate all the Christian holidays, but we're not a particularly religious. We've all be christened, and that's about our entire Church-going experience.
My favourite thing about all the holidays is the food and the fact it's guaranteed family time. We have our own family traditions we've made - and surprisingly, they're mostly food related. This recipes is for our Chocolate cornflake cakes, that we've had at Easter for as long as I can remember!
Chocolate cornflake cakes:
100g dark chocolate
80g cornflakes
2.5 tbsp golden syrup
50g butter
1 bag Cadbury Mini eggs
It's the most simple recipe EVER!
Basically, put 15 cupcake cases in a muffin tin, melt the chocolate, golden syrup and butter together, add to a big bowl with the cornflakes and stir.
Split the mixture evenly between the cupcake cases and then put three mini eggs on top. Stick them in the fridge for a couple of hours, then take them out the muffin tray and into a container. Keep them refrigerated.
They're the perfect treat for Easter OR you can easily eat them all year round - just switch up the sweets you put on top!
